meet kathy o. lofton, mba, mpa
Kathy is a native Memphian who has also resided in Texas, metro Washington, DC, and New Jersey. She is a graduate of the University of Memphis (BBA), Union University (Executive MBA), and CUNY-Baruch College (Master of Public Administration),
where she studied as a National Urban Fellow.
After falling in love with photography in 1998, she eventually transferred her skill to filmmaking. She is currently an indie filmmaker with production screenings at festivals in Los Angeles, Kolkata, India, British Columbia, Lewes (United Kingdom) and her hometown of Memphis. She has received three respective awards from film festival screenings.
Her skill in writing accompanies her work.
Her documentary, I Am a Caregiver, has been screened by the New York State office of AARP. Her experimental short film Tether opened for the screening of the movie Sorry to Bother You at a Black filmmaker's collaborative in London, UK,
